Semara Putra Orphanage, located at Jalan Dewi Sartika No. 5, Semarapura, Klungkung, was established in 1984 by the then Regent of Klungkung, Dr. Cokorda Gede Agung, as a gesture of care for children with disabilities. Currently, the orphanage cares for 121 children, including 90 children with various disabilities such as visual impairment, hearing and speech impairment, mental disability, physical disability, and one child with autism. Children with disabilities attend the Special School (SLB) located directly in front of the orphanage, while the remaining 31 children are orphans or come from underprivileged families, many of whom are from Nusa Penida.
Through this tour package, visitors can experience a meaningful trip in Bali combined with social activities. Guests are invited to visit the orphanage, play and engage with the children through specially designed games that create warm and joyful interactions. Additionally, outbound activities outside the orphanage provide opportunities for participants to enjoy Bali’s attractions while fostering a sense of togetherness with the children.
This program offers a truly enriching experience, where travelers not only enjoy the beauty of Bali but also share happiness, inspiration, and compassion with the local community.

Becoming a volunteer is not difficult when there is proper coordination and support. Baliedu Tours and Travel acts as a travel agent that facilitates and connects travelers who wish to participate in volunteer programs in Bali with local schools, foundations, and orphanages. Several schools and social foundations have partnered with Baliedu and are ready to welcome volunteers who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences. Volunteer activities may include teaching foreign languages, introducing traditional games, drawing and painting, assisting with gardening activities, and even cooking together with the children. As an international tourism destination, Bali greatly benefits from foreign language exposure and mental readiness in facing global visitors. This program helps empower local children by increasing their confidence and communication skills, enabling them to interact directly with tourists from various countries. Baliedu also facilitates volunteer opportunities in rural areas, where many elementary school children show strong enthusiasm to learn and grow. Direct interaction with schools, foundations, and orphanages creates meaningful experiences not only for the children but also for the volunteers themselves. This program is not merely about teaching; it is about sharing happiness, building empathy, and creating a positive social impact for both volunteers and local communities.
